Modelling and Animation

We had six labs in the Modelling and Animation course which I did together with Yuet Lam Chan. Some of the labs required lab reports (lab 1, 3, 4) , which has been written individually and can be found below.

Lab 1
: Different types of mesh data structures, mainly the half edge data structure. Also covers geometrical properties such as area, volume, curvature and normals. Read more [PDF, english]
Lab 2: Mesh decimation using quadric error metrics.
Lab 3: Subdivision of a curve and subdivision of meshes using Loop subdivision. Read more [PDF, english]
Lab 4: Implicit surfaces with surface properties and Constructive solid geometry extended with super elliptic blending. Read more [PDF, english]
Lab 5: Implementation of Level-sets with erosion, dilation, advection, smoothing and morphing operators.
Lab 6: Fluid simulation using the “Stable Fluids” method.

Development year: 2011
Technologies: C++, OpenGL.
Project duration: 2 +1 ECTS (3 weeks), two for the assigments and one for the lab reports.
Course: Modelling and Animation, TNM079.
